Western blot shows lysates of DA3 mouse myeloma cell line untreated (-) or treated (+) with 25 µg Recombinant Mouse IL-4 (Catalog # 404-ML) for 30 minutes. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Mouse STAT6 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB2169), followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for STAT6 at approximately 110 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 5.

Background

STAT family proteins mediate cytokine signaling by acting as signal transducers in the cytoplasm and transcription activators in the nucleus. STAT6 is important for the development of Th2 cells and regulation of gene expression by IL-4 and IL-13.
