Immunogen | BALB/C mice were immunized with a recombinant fragment of human ezrin corresponding to amino acid 362-585. |
Localization | Cell membrane |
Specificity | This antibody reacts with a protein of 81 kDa. Ezrin serves as a tyrosine kinase substrate and is phosphorylated in EGF-stimulated cells. Ezrin is a cytoplasmic protein, enriched in microvilli and other cell surfaces. Ezrin has an actin-binding capacity. Ezrin is expressed in epithelial cells but not in mesenchymal cells. Ezrin is also expressed by certain epithelial tumors, such as renal cell adenocarcinomas. |
