Recombinant Rat CXCL3/GRO gamma/CINC-2/DCIP-1 Protein Summary

Description
A single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 69 amino acids corresponding to CXCL3/GRO gamma/CINC-2/DCIP-1 Source: E. coli

Uniprot ID: Q10746

Amino Acid Sequence: RELRCQCLKT LPRVDFENIQ SLTVTPPGPH CTQTEVIATL KDGQEVCLNP QAPRLQKIIQ KLLKSDKSS

This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degrees C, but should be kept at -20 degrees C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is most stable at -20 to -80 degrees C, and can be stored for one week at 2-8 degrees C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degrees C to -80 degrees C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Details of Functionality
CXCL3 Protein is fully biologically active when compared to standard. The biological activity determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human CXCR2 transfected murine BaF3 cells is in a concentration range of 5-50 ng/ml.

Background

CXCL3 is belonging to the CXC chemokine family, which is also known as CINC-2 in rat, DCIP-1 in murine, and GRO gamma in humans. The functional receptor for CXCL3 has been identified as CXCR2. Similar to other GRO proteins, CXCL3 is potent neutrophil attractants and activators. This chemokine were originally purified from the conditioned medium of rat granulation tissue. In rat, CINC-2 has two isoforms, known as CXCL3alpha/CINC-2alpha and CXCL3beta/CINC-2beta. CXCL3alpha differs from CXCL3beta as DKSS to PSL (98-101) at carboxy-terminal residues.

Limitations
