Background

Thrombopoietin R, also known as Tpo R, is a type I membrane protein belonging to the hematopoietin/cytokine receptor superfamily. Tpo R is expressed by hematopoietic progenitor cells, megakaryocytes and platelets and is involved in the regulation of megakaryocytopoiesis and thrombopoiesis.
