Description
CoraFluor(TM) 1 is a high performance terbium-based TR-FRET (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) or TRF (Time-Resolved Fluorescence) donor for high throughput assay development. CoraFluor(IM) 1 absorbs UV light at approximately 340 nm, and emits at approximately 490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm and 620 nm. It is compatible with common acceptor dyes that absorb at the emission wavelengths of CoraFluor(TM) 1. CoraFluor(TM) 1 can be used for the development of robust and scalable TR-FRET binding assays such as target engagement, ternary complex, protein-protein interaction and protein quantification assays.

Specificity
13D6 antibody recognizes human beta-2 adrenergic receptor. It was reported that this antibody recognizes extracellualr domains of the receptor (Han et al., 2012). Beta-adrenergic receptors mediate the catecholamine-induced activation of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins. The beta-2-adrenergic receptor binds adrenaline with far grater affinity than noradrenaline.

Background

The beta-2 adrenoceptor (ADRB2) is an Adrenergic Receptor expressed in smooth muscle and metabolic tissues. Activation of this receptor induces a decrease in gastrointestinal motility, bronchodilation, vasodilation in skeletal and cardiac muscle, and glycogenolysis in liver. The beta-2 adrenoceptor is also a major lipolytic receptor in human fat cells and may be involved in obesity. Agonists of ADRB2 are most widely used for the treatment of asthma. In complex with beta-arrestin-1 and c-src, the beta-2 adrenergic receptor activates MAP kinases ERK1(MAPK3) and ERK2 (MAPK1). Expression of the beta-2 adrenoceptor has been reported in adipose, blood, brain, heart, lung, nose, pancreas, skeletal muscle, skin, and vessel. ESTs have been isolated from breast, liver, liver/spleen, placenta, and uterus libraries.
