NRP2 encodes a member of the neuropilin family of receptor proteins. The encoded transmembrane protein binds to SEMA3C protein {sema domain, immunoglobulin domain (Ig), short basic domain, secreted, (semaphorin) 3C} and SEMA3F protein {sema domain, immunoglobulin domain (Ig), short basic domain, secreted, (semaphorin) 3F}, and interacts with vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). This protein may play a role in cardiovascular development, axon guidance, and tumorigenesis. Multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.

FAQs for Neuropilin-2 Antibody (NBP1-86866). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQ).
Why are the bands shown in the WB different molecular weight? What is the correct size for nrp2? Are they isoforms? I think the dominant one will be 110 KD.
It is not the wrong WB image for the NBP1-86866 antibody. This antibody is designed from sequence information in the ENSEMBL database and according to the ENSEMBL database, there is an additional isoform of 62.5 kDa. The antigen of the NBP1-86866 antibody has 100% sequence identity to this isoform as well. The isoform is called NRP2-202 (ENSP00000347238) and consists of 555 amino acids (http://www.ensembl.org/Homo_sapiens/Transcript/Summary?db=core;g=ENSG00000118257;r=2:206547224-206608421;t=ENST00000355117).
