Interleukin-7 receptor (IL-7R) alpha, also called CD127, is a type I single-pass transmembrane cytokine receptor and subunit of the IL-7R complex. IL-7R alpha is a receptor for both IL-7 and thymic stromal lymphoprotein (TSLP). IL-7R alpha signaling plays a role in lymphocyte survival, differentiation, and proliferation. The human IL-7R alpha protein encoded by the IL7R gene is 459 amino acids (aa) in length with a theoretical molecular weight (MW) of 51.5 kDa.
