Background

COX IV (cytochrome c oxidase subunit IV isoform 1) plays a pivotal role in respiratory function and assembly of the enzyme complex. This protein is known to have interactions with MT-CO2, MCL1, TMBIM4, MT-CO1 and TH1L. COX IV has been studied in relation to anemia, Huntington's disease, Alzheimer's disease, neuronitis, pancreatitis and several other diseases and disorders.

COX4-I1 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of normal human kidney using Goat Anti-Human/Mouse COX4-I1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF5814) at 10 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Flow (Intracellular): Glut4 Antibody [NBP1-49533] - An intracellular stain was performed on HepG2 with NBP1-49533 and a matched isotype control. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and then permeablized with 0.1% saponin. Cells were incubated in an antibody dilution of 5 ug/mL for 30 minutes at room temperature, followed by Rabbit IgG (H+L) Cross-Adsorbed Secondary Antibody.
