Western blot shows lysates of human colon tissue and mouse colon tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human Cadherin-17 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1032) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF017). A specific band was detected for Cadherin-17 at approximately 125 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Background

Cadherin-17, also known as liver-intestine (LI) Cadherin, belongs to the cadherin family of calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecules. It associates homotypically and is selectively expressed on gastric and intestinal mucosa.
