Reconstitution Instructions |
Recommended to centrifuge prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0mg/mL. Apportion stock solutions into working aliquots and store at <-20C. |
Notes
This lyophilized preparation is stable at 2-8 degrees C, but should be kept at -20 degrees C for long term storage, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is most stable at -20 to -80 degrees C, and can be stored for one week at 2-8 degrees C. For maximal stability, apportion the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20 degrees C to -80 degrees C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Alternate Names for Recombinant Human TL1A/TNFSF15 Protein
Background
TL-1A is a type II transmembrane protein belonging to the TNF superfamily and has been designated TNF superfamily member 15 (TNFSF15). TL-1A is predominantly expressed in endothelial cells and its expression is inducible by TNF-alpha and IL-1alpha. TL- 1A binds with high affinity to death receptor 3 (DR3), known as TNFRSF25. Depending on the cell context, ligation of DR3 by TL-1A can trigger one of two signaling pathways, activation of the transcription factor NF-kB, or activation of caspases and apoptosis. Recombinant human TL-1A is a 20.5 kDa polypeptide of 180 amino acid residues.
