Hepassocin/FGL1 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human liver using Mouse Anti-Human Hepassocin/FGL1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB112302) at 5 µg/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using VisUCyte Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # VCTS021). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm in hepatocytes. Background

Hepassocin, also known as hepatocyte-derived fibrinogen-related protein 1 (HFREP-1) and FGL1, is a liver-specific secreted protein belonging to the fibronogen superfamily, whose members share a fibrinogen domain at their C-termini. Hepassocin may play a role in the development of hepatocellular carcinomas.

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: PCNA Antibody (PC10) [NB500-106] - HeLa cells were fixed and permeabilized for 10 minutes using cold (-20C) MeOH. The cells were incubated with anti-PCNA [PC10] at 5 ug/mL overnight at 4C and detected with an anti-mouse IgG Dylight 488 (Green) at a 1:500 dilution. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Cells were imaged using a 40X objective.
