NHP2L1 (NHP2 Non-Histone Chromosome Protein 2-Like 1 (S. Cerevisiae) is involved in ribosomal RNA production. NHP2L1 binds to the 5' stem-loop of U4 snRNA. NHP2L1 has been studied in relation to malaria, Treacher Collins syndrome, and encephalitis.
