Background

Histamine is a ubiquitous messenger molecule released from mast cells, enterochromaffin-like cells, and neurons. Itsvarious actions are mediated by histamine receptors H1, H2, H3 and H4. This gene was thought to be intronless untilrecently. The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane protein and belongs to the G protein-coupledreceptor superfamily. It mediates the contraction of smooth muscles, the increase in capillary permeability due tocontraction of terminal venules, the release of catecholamine from adrenal medulla, and neurotransmission in thecentral nervous system. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.(provided by RefSeq)

FAQs for Histamine H1R Antibody (NB600-795). (Showing 1 - 1 of 1 FAQs).

  1. I would like to know if HRH1 antibody (NB600-795) and HRH3 antibody (NBP1-71095) have cross-reactivity with mouse or whether the reactivity is only predicted? I'd like to test for presence of these receptors in our mouse neural stem cells.
    • For NB600-795, I am showing the reactivity of Mouse, Rat, Dog, and Cow are based upon homology, but will still be guaranteed by us since they are shown on the datasheet. Therefore if it does not work in your mouse samples for this one we would be happy to send you a replacement or refund. The second antibody NBP1-71095 was also determined to have Rat and Mouse reactivity based on sequence homology, but like the first will be guaranteed for the applications listed for those species.
