Prolymphocytic Leukemia: Disease Bioinformatics

Prolymphocytic Leukemia is a rare form of chronic lymphoproliferative disorder. There are two distinct types of Prolymphocytic Leukemia, B Cell and T Cell. T Cell is very aggressive and tends to have poor response to chemotherapy. If remission is reached, most will only last a few months with T Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia. In B-Cell Prolymphocytic Leukemia, remission is more feasible and may be completely progression free but the prognosis is still poor. B-Cell has been associated with deletions on chromosome 11 and 13.
