Description
TOLLIP is a ubiquitin-binding protein that interacts with several components of the Toll-like receptor (TLR; see MIM 603030) signaling cascade. It is an essential regulator of inflammatory signaling and is involved in trafficking of interleukin-1 receptor (IL1R; MIM 147810) and turnover of IL1R-associated kinase (IRAK, or IRAK1; MIM 300283) (summary by Lo et al., 2009 (PubMed 19444506)).(supplied by OMIM)
