Polymyalgia Rheumatic is a muscle condition that causes pain and stiffness in the shoulder and sometimes the hip. Occurring in people over the age of 50, the cause of Polymyalgia rheumatic is unknown. The symptoms of Polymyalgia Rheumatic include shoulder stiffness, neck stiffness, and fatigue, which soon progress to hip stiffness and difficulty getting around. Polymyalgia Rheumatic is treated with corticosteroids which help relieve the symptoms, but has to be used for 2 to 6 years.
